Welcome to my e-Portfolio
Hello, welcome to my ePortoflio. My name is Matthew Kehoe and I’m a recent First-class MA Business & Management Graduate from the University of Glasgow. Throughout my professional and academic career, I have fostered and developed a passion for two specific domains of business, Corporate Social Responsibility and Consulting. Additionally, thanks to my invaluable experience in leading international teams across a variety of national and global business competitions, I have had the opportunity to hone my leadership abilities, all while further reinforcing my specialist knowledge and team management skills.

“WE ARE WHAT WE REPEATEDLY DO. EXCELLENCE, THEN, IS NOT AN ACT BUT A HABIT.“ -WILL DURANT
Of course, I firmly believe in the value of being a well-rounded individual, which has lead me to pursue a number of extra-curricular and work-related experiences. Thus, I was selected as class representative for my International Marketing Consulting and Entrepreneurship courses at university, which resulted in me sitting on the Undergraduate Learning and Teaching committee as a Senior Honours Representative. Being a true believer in giving back to the community, I am very proud of my time spent as a tutor for the Graduate Skills Programme, where I had the opportunity to deliver formative workshops to over 100 students and provide individualised guidance in crafting more than two dozen student portfolios. Across my final academic year, be it as a 4th year rep for the Adam Smith Economics Society, at case competitions, or as a tutor for GSP and 1st year inductions, I delivered over 30 talks to a combined total of approximately 1000 students.
I’ve designed this ePortfolio as part of the Graduate Skills Programme, as a means to showcase and reflect upon my key experiences and pivotal professional events. While this domain will focus on these specific incidents, it also links to my LinkedIn and a number of other sources, where a more in-depth review of my experiences and abilities are available. Finally, should you have any questions or inquiries with regards to the information presented here, please contact me via e-mail (mattheuskehoe@ gmail.com) or Linkedin!
Professional summaryGrowing up in Chamonix, France meant that I was raised in an international community. The multilingual environment and wide range of cultures was the main driver for my choice to study at the University of Glasgow, as I wished to acquire a global mindset alongside a world-class degree. My first two years at university gave me a broad overview of the foundational managerial theories which in turn fed my hunger for practical and applied courses. This has led me to undertake courses such as International Marketing Consultancy, Entrepreneurial ventures and Organisational Management, all focused on providing real companies with high quality deliverables while also developing my investigative skills and allowing me to become a subject specialist in these areas. These reflective experiences have equipped me with the confidence and adaptability necessary to rapidly become an asset to any team I integrate. Additionally, I opted to conduct in-depth, qualitative primary research into the effects of anti-smoking campaigns on social smokers for my undergraduate dissertation.
Additionally, I decided to supplement my education by completing my Junior Honours year abroad at Université du Quebec a Montreal in Canada. Exposing myself to the radically different academic institutions that characterise North America, allowed me to compliment my business instruction with different and often conflicting perspectives, as well as providing a foothold to critically examine european managerial practices. During my time abroad, I acted as an exchange ambassador, where I assisted in developing activities for exchange students and worked to develop interest in the bilateral study abroad programme. Of course, extra-curricular activities also play a large role supplementing and enriching my skillset. I’ve had the honour to act as the 4th year Representative for the Adam Smith Economics Society, one of the largest and oldest societies on campus, where I managed and co-organized a number of events, including a mock employability assessment centre in partnership with PwC, social events with over 150 attendees and delivering promotional pitches to profession and student bodies. In addition to this, I was also elected class representative for my International Marketing Consultancy course, which lead to me sitting on the Undergraduate Learning and Teaching committee where I communicated student feedback to staff and contributed towards a number of school procedural changes.
Last but not least, I have accrued established experience within a wide variety of roles throughout my professional career. Acting as a tutor within the GSP programme lead to me honing my presentation and public speaking skills through the delivery of numerous workshops. My time as a Warranty Assessor for Accenture in the Czech Republic led to me developing innovative automation solutions to reduce transactional activities all while increasing employee productivity. Finally, my 2 years working as a Chief Senior Resident within University accommodation has consolidated my managerial skills, through my supervision and coordination of teams of staff across residential sites housing over 1100 students.
